LIFE

 Alvin Lasola Sebastian was born on July 19, 1937 from the town of Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte. He is the 3rd son of Pablo Salvador Sebastian and Auroral Lasola Sebastian.  He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration at University of the Philippines in Manila. Like his father, he is a member of the fraternal organization of Masons.

Alvin Sebastian is survived by his wife, Alicia Lozada Sebastian, his two daughters, Darla Jean Sebastian & Sarah Lynn Sebastian Ryan, son in-law, Eugene Ryan and grandson, Alexander John Sebastian.  He celebrated his 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2017 surrounded by his extended family and friends. 

 Alvin & his family lived in Zamboanga City, Philippines for most of their lives.  They resided at Canelar Moret, Zamboanga City.  Alvin was an entrepreneur and had several businesses throughout his life in Zamboanga. He also loved to tinker with technology and was one of the first to setup solar panels in the 70s in his hometown. Alvin also had a huge antenna constructed so he can communicate on the ham radio and speak to other enthusiasts around the world.  His ham radio call sign was "Delta Uniform Eight Alpha Alpha - du8aa", hence the name used as the website name for his memorial.  He actively participated in his humanitarian efforts under the Rotary Club of Zamboanga where he was a past president of the organization. Also, as a member of the Zamboanga Golf & Country Club, you would regularly see him on the golf course with his friends & had gotten his entire family hooked on that sport.  Alice, Deejay & especially Sashee would join him to the golf course several times a week.

In 1991, the family migrated to the United States and have made their home in Anaheim, CA since 1996. He had worked for the ABC Unified School District until he retired and spent majority of his retirement life looking after his grandson, Alexander and with a green thumb, he had a passion for gardening in his backyard.
